A trip to Rene Sontrop's workshop

Rene Sontrop is one of the best Jaguar expert in France. He's located near Auxerre, 150 miles south from Paris.
My friend Vincent had to take his E-type to Rene. I joined him there to enjoy Rene 's workshop atmosphere and allowed 8175 to make a trip on the countryside.

WHEELS

The wheels needed attention. I first bought new knock-off to Borrani in Italy and gave my wheels to a alloy polishing specialist in the Paris area, S.I.P.E

8175 is fitted with 205x70 Michelin XWX tires like the Maranello factory used to deliver them at the time, they are the very best tires can bring to such a 60s GT car

Inside

A sunny sunday, place de la Concore

A sunny sunday of february, we decided to take 8175 out with my good old friend, Fred the geek. On our way, we crossed a Ferraris gathering place de la Concorde, in the center of Paris. We stopped by to have a look and chat with a couple of owners. These are pictures taken by a participant and found on the net. Thanks Mr E. Clio !

At this stage, exterior mirrors had been fitted, 8175 was still waiting its French registration.
